Other Charitable Interests and Intents
In 2018, the Northwest North Dakota Community Foundation will have $10,000 to invest in projects that improve the quality of life in our region. Grants will be given to support both community needs and organizational needs. Community needs are defined as collaborative efforts among nonprofits that help address a specific community need/issue. Organizational needs for nonprofits includes supporting projects and programs; capacity building, including training or equipment; or simply operating support.
Grants are made to IRS tax-exempt organizations - 501(c)(3), government agencies, and religious institutions for non-religious purpose. The Northwest North Dakota Community Foundation does not make grants to individuals. Fiscal sponsorships are acceptable with the completion and submission of a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement form.
The Foundation Grants Committee will review complete grant proposals and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for final approval.
Grant recipients will receive a grant agreement for review and signature prior to receiving an award check.
